It’s been one whole years since this gorgeous pair tied the knot at Deepdale Farm, in Keldholme last August.
I first met Matt and Selina back in April 2021 four months before their wedding date as the easing of Covid restrictions began and after they had rescheduled their first wedding date. The lovely pair had all their wedding details planned out and all their suppliers booked and wanted to hire a Wedding Co-ordinator to manage their wedding on their behalf taking care of ALL the little details and logistics.
Our OTD co-ordination package always starts the same where we meet with our couples six weeks before their wedding day to handover all the supplier and wedding details they have in place. From there we conduct site visits at your venue, manage and liaise with all suppliers during the lead up to the BIG day and generate a detailed Event Plan which includes schedules, floor plans and those important back up weather plans for all the parties involved so everyone knows where they need to be and when.
We are also on hand to set-up your wedding venue and are there throughout the whole day so our couples can just relax and enjoy the day knowing that all the details are taking care of.
I love weddings at Deepdale Farm. It’s the perfect rustic venue for couples wanting a DIY aspect to their wedding day. The venue has two barns, the main barn and ceremony barn which can be used however couples choose, and can decorate as and how they wish. Every time I visit Deepdale whether through site visits with my couples or co-ordinating a wedding there, every wedding looks totally different as couples can truly put their own personality and style throughout the spaces available. There are also lots of outdoor areas, outbuildings and beautiful scenic views too making it a stunning rustic backdrop for couples getting married in North Yorkshire.
As the venue is a DIY venue, couples may choose to hire a planner/wedding co-ordinator to oversee the whole day, to take care of all the wedding tasks and to work behind the scenes making sure your day goes off without a hitch – to set up the venue the day before, to make sure drinks are chilled and to light the candles in the barn before guests take their seats, to move props and furniture around, to keep check on the suppliers and to make sure that everything runs to time.
Matt and Selina’s wedding was filled with so many wonderful DIY details and little personal touches made by the bride and groom themselves which really made the day extra special for their guests.
From the groom’s handmade Welcome To Yorkshire directional signage to the dried flowers which adorned the barns, to the glampling village in the field next door to the brightly coloured paper decorations that were scattered around the venue.
I can’t not mention the coolest Best Dog Graham who looked very daper with his doggie bowtie – I even got to have evening cuddles with him too whilst his mum and dad were off having their evening portraits taken. It truly was a beautiful day from start to finish and I thank Selina and Matt for choosing SB Events to be part of their special day.
It’s always lovely to work with new wedding suppliers that I haven’t had the pleasure of working with before but also equally amazing working with suppliers that I have worked with previously such as the incredibly talented Tony from Photography 34.
Tony is a Photography Wiz!!!! Just look at his work! He just gets it, the shots, the emotions, the perfect timings (he’ll even take you to the most magical spots for those Golden Hour magical moments).
